BONUS | Get Pregnant Sooner
A study by researchers from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, found that cognitive behavioural therapy can aid fertility by reducing anxiety, which often inhibits ovulation. A study by Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia took 16 women who had not had a period in six months. Half were introduced to cognitive behavioural therapy for 20 weeks and half were merely observed. At the end of this, six out of the eight women given CBT regained full fertility and two of them became pregnant within two months. In the eight women who didn't, only one recovered her fertility.
Another study showed that women who were undergoing IVF had a success rate of 52% when undergoing mind-body interventions (compared to only 20% in the control group).

Hi, I’m Robyn Birkin, a fertility coach, motivational speaker, writer and fertility warrior. I’ve made it my mission to ensure that women don’t suffer through infertility and trouble conceiving like I did. This is the program I wish I had when I was in the depths of despair.
Did you know that the stress of infertility has been shown to be the same as that of a cancer diagnosis? Yup, it’s true!
I’m also the host of the Fertility Warriors Podcast. At the end of 2011, hubby and I went on a whirlwind round the world trip, and when we returned, decided that it was time to start a family. Cue sexy lingerie, and lots of getting frisky, and then…. nothing. Month after month, we suffered the incredible lows that trying to conceive brought with it, until we landed at a fertility clinic. A multitude of tests, the complete loss of all dignity, OHSS, IUI, IVF, ICSI and a miscarriage left me battered and bruised (literally! #deminjections), but determined that here had to be a better way. So, I set about researching and devouring as much as I could about how to survive trauma, I went on a soul recharging trip to the back of beyond in Lombok, I connected with some of the best online guru’s around, and pretty much reached into the depths of my being to pull myself out of my funk, and came out a badass warrior who literally felt like I could take on the world.
And I did. Two years later, I was back on the saddle on a mission to ride this rollercoaster again and have a second child. We fell pregnant with our last embryo, but I had a pregnancy and childbirth that others would only describe in one word: traumatic. The short version is that I needed to race to the hospital and later woke up in critical care, missing my uterus and most of my cervix. Ya, that happened.
But you know what? I learnt my shit the first time around, and know how to give shitty situations the middle finger, so instead of feeling deeply traumatised, I'm actually feeling pretty good. And pretty lucky. Yep, lucky.
And today, I have two beautiful girls, Chloe and Olivia, as well as some of the most valuable life skills and mental habits, and I want the same for you.
