I didn’t make ’em because I’m so healthy. Dammit, I made them because I needed to rescue them before they were destined for the compost patch.
Is it just me, or does kale come in huge bunches. I gave the stuff a couple more days before it started going all yellowy.
So, what do you do? You bloody make kale chips, that’s what.you do!
I just washed them, whacked them in a bowl and tossed them with some olive oil and salt, and put them in the oven on a low heat with the other food I was cooking for about 10 minutes.
My hints: don’t overcook them – better to have some undercooked, than some overcooked. And don’t oversalt either!
Regardless of what you may think… they ARE pretty tasty.
