Jeepers, where does the time go? I had all intentions of writing a 29 weeks post, but before I knew it, I’d hit 30 weeks. Time is only going to faster now, right?
Also, ummm…. where did Christmas come from?
I must admit though, the timing of everything has worked out quite well. I work at a private school, not as a teacher, but as the Marketing Manager, so I work the normal hours and have the standard four weeks annual leave, but… all the teachers and students have now left for school holidays, so everything is a lot less chaotic, and there are no more outside hours events or functions. Then, I have the days between Christmas and New Years off to catch my breath, before heading back for a few weeks to tidy up before I head on maternity leave. It is such a lovely wind down. I don’t know that I’d have been able to keep up my normal pace at this point in the pregnancy.
Overall though, feelin gooooood.
Not having a kitchen has made cooking hard at times, so I’m not always eating the things I normally would, but I think I’m doing pretty well.
// Here are some of my eats: //
// Breakfasts //

- I went through about a week of having toast with vegetarian polony on it… sad, I know
// Snacks //

- Superfood fudge (basically my 4 ingredient fudge with added stuff like walnuts and spirulina – sometimes looks a bit ewwwww but tastes good!)

- Leftovers
// Dinner //

- I’ve started on the raspberry leaf tea now
// My Health //
Passed my glucose test with flying colours, but (as I think most pregnant women do) my iron levels were a bit low. I had a liquid iron supplement in my fridge, but was really slack at taking it, so that was my bad. Now I’m back on board.
Amniotic fluid, placenta, baby – all going well (touch wood). We had an ultrasound yesterday and baby is a bit of a chubba. Based on the weight estimate she is at the large end of the scale. Go baby!
Sleeping is a challenge. I finally got comfortable after we got a mattress topper, but the last couple of days I’ve been wide awake! Eh, what are you going to do.
// Nursery //
Coming along…. I’ve got the cot, changetable and a chair for the room, and slowly starting to think about everything else.
// Clothes //
I swear in the last couple of weeks I have gotten so much bigger. I posted on my Facebook page that I was running out of work clothes, and Eden of Eve kindly sent me a few staples – a nursing singlet and a white top and a skirt.*
I really liked the quality of the stuff so I’ve since gone on and bought the dress I’m wearing in this pic. I figure it’s a nursing dress so surely I’ll wear it after the bub is born too, and given that it’s summer, I need some cool clothes!
They’ve also given a $50 voucher for one of our Aussie readers, so if you’re interested, hop on over to Modern Day Missus on Facebook and put your name down. I’ll be drawing it tonight though, so get in quick.
If you’re interested in grabbing any of their stuff, you can check out the website at www.maternitysale.com.au – free delivery is what swings me over the line every time!
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years!
Robyn xx
**I get offered goods all.the.time, but I hardly ever accept them unless I think they’re aligned with blog and of interest to you guys, because I blog for love not money. If I receive anything and don’t think it’s worth mentioning or there’s nothing in it for my readers, then I won’t share. Hope that’s cool with you xx
